4.1 Third-Party Platforms
We share information with third-party platforms (such as TikTok) as necessary to provide Service functionality, including publishing your content and retrieving analytics data. This sharing occurs pursuant to permissions you grant when connecting accounts.
4.2 Service Providers
We engage trusted third-party service providers to perform functions on our behalf:
- Cloud hosting and infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)
- Payment processing (Stripe, etc.)
- Analytics and monitoring tools
- Customer support platforms
- Email and communication services
- Authentication and security services
These providers have access only to information necessary to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to protect your data.

4.7 TikTok Platform Integration
TikTok Data Processing
FandSync integrates with TikTok APIs to allow users to connect their TikTok account, access profile information, schedule content, and retrieve content performance metrics. FandSync only accesses data explicitly authorized by the user through TikTok's OAuth authorization process and complies with TikTok's Developer Policies and Terms of Service.
User Control: You maintain full control over your TikTok account connection. You may disconnect your TikTok account at any time through your FandSync account settings or by revoking access through your TikTok account settings.
The data we access from TikTok is limited to what you authorize and includes: account profile information (username, display name, profile picture), content metadata, engagement metrics, and follower statistics. We do not access private messages, financial information, or any data beyond what is necessary to provide our scheduling and analytics features.
5. Data Storage, Retention, and Security
5.1 Data Storage
Your information is stored on secure servers in the United States and other jurisdictions where FandSync or its service providers operate. We use industry-standard cloud infrastructure with robust security, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities.
5.2 Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations:
- Account information: Duration of active account plus reasonable period thereafter
- User Content: Duration of account and for backup purposes
- Usage and analytics: Retained indefinitely in aggregated/anonymized form
- Payment records: As required by tax laws and financial regulations
- Legal compliance data: As necessary for legitimate business purposes
Upon account deletion, we delete or anonymize personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is necessary. Backup copies may persist temporarily.
TikTok Account Disconnection
Users may disconnect their TikTok account at any time through account settings or by revoking access through TikTok. Upon TikTok account disconnection or FandSync account deletion, we will delete or anonymize TikTok-related data (including access tokens, content metadata, and analytics) within 30 days, unless retention is required by law or necessary for fraud prevention. You will lose access to TikTok-related features upon disconnection.
5.3 Security Measures
We implement comprehensive security measures to protect your data:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest
- Secure authentication with password hashing and optional multi-factor authentication
- Access controls limiting employee access on a need-to-know basis
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we implement robust security measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You acknowledge the inherent security risks of internet-based services.

The Service is operated from the United States. If you are located outside the United States, including in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States and other countries where FandSync or its service providers operate.
These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those of your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. Where required by law, we implement appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.

8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are under 18, you are not permitted to use the Service or create an account.
